This course is designed to provide trainees with an introduction to the various types of mobile cranes and covers the principles of crane characteristics and safe crane operation so that trainees will have a well-constructed base of knowledge from which they can professionally advance and work safely.
Course curriculum is based on the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standard, B30.5. Instruction includes Load Chart interpretation and calculation of net capacities based on crane configuration and measurements using load charts for the specific crane used by the trainees on the job.
