Course topics include the following:
- Risk management - General crane safety, hazards of load lifting, and devising rigging plans.
- Rigging Equipment – Covers best practices for use and inspection criteria for safety and serviceability
- Practical instruction on using the charts, tables, capacities, factors, and formulas found on a Journeyman Rigger’s Reference Card
- Signaling – Covers OSHA and industry standards for audible, hand, and verbal signals

The course typically requires 3.5 to 4 hours
- Up to two sessions of the course may be scheduled per day. Sessions may be attended by up to 20 people
- The fee for each session of the course is $1500.00.
- For training at locations more than 60-miles from Omaha, NE, additional fees for travel expenses apply
- After successful completion of the course, a certificate of completion is issued to each trainee
