Qualification Training

For exempt entities and for non-construction use, where crane operators and rigging and signaling personnel are not required to be certified, OSHA regulations require employers to determine the qualification of personnel who work with load lifting equipment. Accordingly, employers must train their employees to ensure that they develop the skills, knowledge, and ability to recognize and avert risk necessary to lift and handle loads safely for assigned work.
